MapAdvisor GPS Edition transforms your PDA into a high-tech tool for geocaching, treasure hunting, hiking, and travel. You will use highly accurate satellite images to get to wherever you're going as quickly and efficiently as possible.
MapAdvisor GPS Edition automatically displays real-time GPS data and allows recording, viewing, and saving of tracks - all on a satellite image map, so you can see exactly where you are.
MapAdvisor GPS Edition for Palm and PocketPC can use an external GPS via serial port connection, card flash CF GPS, or Bluetooth GPS.
MapAdvisor GPS Edition for Garmin iQue (iQue 3200 and iQue 3600) uses the built-in GPS.
Geocachers who have geocache files in LOC or GPX formats can take advantage of MapAdvisor by importing those files. This way, they get very detailed information about geocaches on a map that simplifies searching for them. Through this procedure it is possible to get information about what the geocache contains, when and by whom it was found last, and obtain clues how to find it.
MapAdvisor allows to browse between detailed map tiles (zoom in view) and also provides zoom out views for an area. You can check geo-coordinates on images or measure the distance between 2 points on a map.
New MapAdvisor 3.0 comes equipped with a built-in map manager that lets you rapidly organize and access all of your maps by directly opening/deleting new 8-level zoom maps on card OR opening/renaming/deleting old 2-level zoom single file maps in RAM or on card.
Note: Owners of older versions of MapAdvisor can upgrade for free.
